After you have performed your show, you might want to register your live show at the copyright society you are a member of, or share it with the venue you played at. To help you with this, MySetlist provides an easy-to-use copyright information exporter.
To export copyright information, click on the Copyright registration export button. This opens the copyright window. If you get an error, that means that you do not have access to the copyright information. The manager of the artist page must grant you access first.
The first window that shows up is an overview of all tracks. Green tracks have their copyright information filled out. Red tracks have incomplete copyright information. All tracks need to be green before you can export the copyright information.
If you are a member of the Dutch copyright society BumaStemra, see the next section.
You need to fill out a few fields per track. You only have to do this once, since MySetlist saves the information to the track. If the copyright details change, you must also change them in MySetlist.
First you write down all copyright holders. You can also add their IPI number between brackets, but this is not mandatory. Put a comma between each copyright holder.
For example: John Doe (1234567890), Jane Doe (0987654321)
Next you write the project code and/or ISWC code. You can find these in the portal of your copyright society.
Next you add the type of work and the Spotify link to the song.
Finish by clicking on the Save button.
This section only applies to people who are a member of the Dutch copyright society BumaStemra.
Besides filling out the copyright information manually, you can also upload the copyright information from the BumaStemra portal.
To do this, go to the MijnBumaStemra portal. Click on Werken and click on the song you want to upload. Click on the Copyrightverdeling PDF button. This downloads the copyright information.
In the copyright information window, upload the PDF and click on the Parse PDF button. This extracts the data from the PDF and fills out the information.
Finish by clicking on the Save button.
Next you need to fill out the show information. This information is needed by the copyright society to register your live show.
Once everything has been filled out, click on Next.
You can download the copyright information as a default MySetlist template.
If you are a member of the Dutch copyright society BumaStemra, you can also download the information as a BumaStemra template. In MijnBumaStemra, click on Live, then select Importeren. Here you can upload the setlist. Follow the instructions to add the setlist to your BumaStemra account.
